The plant «Plyterra» in Mordovia (Russia) has launched a new sawmill with a capacity of about 30 thousand cubic meters per year, according to the website of the government of the republic.

«A new sawmill with a capacity of about 30 thousand cubic meters per year has been launched as part of an investment project to modernize the existing production, about 50 new jobs have been created. The project with a total investment of more than 2.6 billion rubles is included by the Russian Government among the priorities in the field of forest development. This will allow the company to provide raw forest resources on a non-auction basis with minimum rates for the lease of forest plots,» the report says.

It is noted that the investment project includes five stages of modernization and will ensure an increase in the current production of plywood, fuel briquettes and pellets, timber. In addition, the improvement of the technological process allowed the company to create a full cycle of waste-free production.
