According to the industry monitoring system, by December 31, 2022, the total volume of extraction of aquatic biological resources amounted to more than 4.88 million tons. Updated data will be presented after collecting statistics on freshwater species after the first quarter of 2023.

Fishermen caught 3.49 million tons in the Far Eastern Fishery Basin. The pollock fishery caught 1.9 million tons, which is 182 thousand tons more than the level of 2021, herring – 471 thousand tons, which is 56.5 thousand tons more than the level of 2021.

The total catch of pelagic fishery amounted to 281.3 thousand tons, which is 7.2 thousand tons higher than in 2021, including the catch of sardine ivasi reached 270.8 thousand tons — which is 36.2 thousand tons more.

In the Northern Fishery Basin, fishermen extracted 527.6 thousand tons.

More than 81.6 thousand tons were caught in the Western Fishery Basin, which is 2.8 thousand tons more than the level of 2021. The sprat fishery produced 42.8 thousand tons, which is 0.1 thousand tons more than the level of 2021, Baltic herring – 26.1 thousand tons, which is 3.3 thousand tons more than the level of 2021.

In the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin, the volume of catch of aquatic biological resources amounted to 44.7 thousand tons.

Fishermen have extracted more than 96.2 thousand tons in the Volga-Caspian fishery basin.

In the exclusive economic zones of foreign states, convention areas and the open part of the World Ocean, the Russian fishing fleet mastered 577 thousand tons, including 359.5 thousand tons in the zones of foreign states, 217.4 thousand tons in convention areas and the open part of the World Ocean.
