The volume of furniture production in Russia in 2022 increased by 15% compared to 2021 to 356 billion rubles. The driver of the growth of the domestic furniture industry was anti-Russian sanctions and a decrease in furniture imports.
According to preliminary data, the volume of furniture production in Russia in 2022 amounted to slightly more than 356 billion rubles, which is 15.2% more than the same indicator in 2021 and 58% more than in 2019. The largest increase was shown by the segment of furniture made of plastic materials: the volume of its production increased by 91% in 2022 compared to 2021, as well as wooden office furniture, the production of which increased by a third. The volume of production of metal beds (+55%) of kitchen furniture (+37%), beds-transformers (+22%) increased the most.
