The share of agriculture in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the country's GDP is about 7.4%, which employs about 20.5% of the working population of the country. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, wheat, corn, fruits and vegetables are cultivated, animal husbandry is widespread.

Enterprises of the mining, metallurgical, and oil refining industries are gradually recovering in the country, and production in the textile industry, components for cars, the aviation industry, and household appliances is growing.

The basis of the transport river network of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the right tributaries of the Sava providing access to the Adriatic Sea. The A1 motorway passes through Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the longest section of the European Route E73 connecting Central Europe with the Adriatic Sea.

Total energy reserves are estimated at 1.661 billion tons (in coal equivalent). Installed capacity – net of power plants - 4485 MW, including: thermal power plants burning organic fuel - 47.6%, renewable energy sources - 52.4%.
