Barbados is a developing country specializing in international services. A country with a high standard of living. The basis of the economy is information services and tourism.

Agriculture employs 10% of the working-age population and provides 6% of GDP. Sugar cane remains the main crop, despite the reduction in its collection. Tropical vegetables and fruits are also grown.

The manufacturing industry is represented by sugar cane processing enterprises and other consumer industries, such as furniture and soap production. The production of computer components has been established. The extraction of construction raw materials is underway — limestone, sand and clay. Oil and natural gas are produced in small quantities.
