Albania
Albania is an agrarian—industrial state. Albania's economy is based on services (54.1%), agriculture (21.7%) and manufacturing (24.2%) sectors. The country is rich in minerals, and the economy is mainly supported by agriculture, food industry, timber extraction, oil, cement production, chemicals, mining, ferrous metallurgy, hydropower, tourism, textile industry. The strongest sectors are energy, mining, ferrous metallurgy, agriculture and tourism. The main export goods are clothing, chrome, oil, refined fuel.
The energy sector of Albania at the end of 2019 is characterized by the following main indicators. The production of organic fuel is 2226 thousand tons. Installed capacity – net of 2,361 MW power plants, including: thermal power plants burning organic fuel - 5.2%, renewable energy sources - 94.8%.
The tourism sector has traditionally been a significant source of income for the country's population both in summer and winter, due to the growing popularity of skiing. 3.8 million tourists visit the country annually, bringing the country an income of 1.5 billion euros.
